Prairie Warbler
(Setophaga discolor)

​A common summer breeding bird of old field edges and scrubby habitat (not prairies.)

Sings from an open perch; easily located by following its characteristic ascending song.

In Mammoth Cave N.P., check cedar trees on the roadsides and around clearing edges.
