Pine Warbler
(Setophaga pinus)

Picture

A common breeding bird. Individuals sometimes linger through winter.

These early-breeding warblers start singing on sunny days in late winter. They are usually found in the upper branches of pine trees.

In Mammoth Cave N.P., Pine Warblers can be found wherever there are pine trees. Listen for their bold, liquid trills.
