White-eyed Vireo
(Vireo griseus)

​A common summer resident. 

Prefers to sing from a hidden perch within a shrub or small tree. Best located by its song.

Found in scrubby field edges and woodland clearings. In Mammoth Cave NP, check the Maple Springs campground area, and the lower end of the bicycle trail at the south end of the park.
