Warbling Vireo
(Vireo gilvus)

Picture

An uncommon breeding bird in central Kentucky. They frequent trees in lawns and open forests.

Warbling Vireos are drab and well-camouflaged, singing from a perch inside a large deciduous tree.

In Mammoth Cave N.P., check the trees on the visitor center lawn and near the bridge between buildings.
