Field Sparrow
(Spizella pusilla)
A common permanent resident of area fields and open spaces.
Few individuals are found in Mammoth Cave N.P., due to to its largely wooded habitat.
Field sparrows may be found near the Maple Springs area and at the lower end of the bike trail near the south entrance of the park.
