(Setophaga americana)

​A small breeding-season warbler, found in treetops.

Prefers river bottoms and forest clearings.

Found in the park on the lawn outside the Mammoth Cave Hotel, in the river corridors, and in open woods throughout the park.

Like many  warblers, this bird can be located by hearing it's characteristic song.
