Least Flycatcher
(Empidonax minimus)

Picture

An uncommon spring migrant. Distinguished from similar flycatchers by its bold eye-ring.

Least Flycatchers are in rapid decline across the country, although still common enough to be found regularly during peak migration in  May.

In Mammoth Cave N.P., check edges of thickets and saplings in clearings.
