Great Crested Flycatcher
(Myiarchus crinitus)
Our largest flycatcher; a common summer breeding bird in our area.
Very vocal in late April and early May; found in open woods and in clearings with tall trees.
Nesting birds can usually be found in tall sycamore trees on the lawn south of the lodge parking lot.
