Cranes regularly fly over the park in spring and fall.
Sandhills stage in the thousands and sometimes overwinter west of Cecilia, KY (37.663892, -85.993189) and around Barren River Lake, specifically near Beaver Creek (36.928947, -86.029818). Check eBird for recent sightings.
