​Our only local all-red bird. 

Prefers open country and clearings. More common outside the park than within.

In the park, Summer Tanagers can usually be found in the visitor center clearing, both lawn and parking lot. Check the lower end of the bike trail and anywhere with a clearing in the forest habitat
