Northern Rough-winged Swallow
(Stelgidopteryx serripennis)
A common swallow, identified by brown back and white chest with no chest band.
Found nesting on cliff faces, highway cuts through rock, and under building eaves.
At Mammoth Cave, found during breeding season from the upper deck on the Cedar Sink Trail or flying over the stream in the sink. They can occasionally be found around the park visitor center.
