American Tree Sparrow
(Spizelloides arborea)

​​Tree sparrows are uncommon winter visitors to central Kentucky.

They prefer wet, scrubby field habitat.

Not regularly seen in Mammoth Cave N.P.; the likeliest place to find this species would be in the open habitat the southern end of the bike trail.
